I bought this unit about 10 years ago. All parts still work. Very impressed considering I thought 5 years would be good considering the cost. I am writing this review because I was using the the chainsaw pole cutting unit over the weekend and realised one of the extension poles spring loaded locating knob was broken. Bit of a pain as this caused the chain saw to move around and not cut, even with a new chain. Not sure why this occurred as I have 4 extension arms and rotate their use. Not withstanding this issue, very impressed with the unit. Extension arm will be used for some other purpose.

Just some niggly little problems that need addressing by most Chinese manufacturers.
Good machine, starts 4th time every time. No need to pull cord hard, just tug 4 times and off it goes. Pull too hard and your hand will hurt. Just prime, set trigger, turn choke on, lightly pull 4 times, sometimes 3.
Why do chinese manufacturers insist on placing the ON/OFF switch right in front of hand grip and to be turned OFF in forward motion (easily knocked). Is the most annoying thing ever. Is bumped off right in the middle of working constantly. Pull switch apart to see if it could be reversed but as usual - NO! Even being switched the opposite way would help tremendously (IE ON is forward). This happens with all the Chinese machines. In fact it is so annoying and frustrating we took the switch off on another brand machine and used the choke to turn it off.
Extra side handle should be able to be removed, as they are rarely used and get caught on everything (not the only brand machine that does this) Friends BBT one snapped off from being caught up in vines or trees.
Splined rods need a circlip to keep them in place so that they do not fall out of the shaft all the time, while attaching / unattaching.
Overall a good machine. A little heavy but is expected for this sized motor. There were a few other machines with much larger motors but I knew this one would be heavy enough and have enough power.
Just a few little niggly problems that should be addressed. A retailer who orders from the Chinese manufacturers should get onto this. Especially the switch as it is almost dangerous at times.

I originally purchased this for the hedging tool. Which does a wonderful job - up to ø25mm branches. What took me over an hour with a battery hedge cutter takes me about 20 mins. Today I used the Pole chainsaw with a 1m extension - which was great. And the line trimmer - which was actually disappointing. The strands kept coming out of the holder. However - for the price this is still an excellent offering. Like previous comments - this is a heavy unit. More of a function of its sturdiness and the requirements of being able to support 3m of extension. It also seems to be quite thirsty. Using up a tank of fuel in just over 30 mins of continual use.
However, I still gave it 5 stars because you really are getting value for money.

Bought this online on Monday and it arrived on Wednesday, used it on Sunday no issues, Only comment is the writing in the manual is too small.
