WHAT IS A BRUSH CUTTER?
A brushcutter is a useful tool for gardeners to have. It's perfect for cutting back weeds and small trees that are too difficult to reach with a lawnmower.
It is made up of three parts: The power unit, which is a short, thick piece of plastic that contains the battery or petrol tank. The pole, which is a thin stick that the power unit slides into. The head, which is the end of the pole opposite from the power unit. A quality commercial brush cutter is typically used for denser vegetation, does not rely on power sources, has multi tool attachments and gives you complete control over the speed of the cutting blade via intuitive traction controls and a bull horn handle design.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A BRUSH CUTTER AND A WHIPPER SNIPPER?
A whipper snipper is typically a lightweight, one person powered machine with a blade on the end. It is designed to cut through weeds, brush, tall grass and other outdoor vegetation that is less than 10 inches wide. The blade is powered by a small gasoline or electric motor and is connected to a gearbox. The gearbox contains a clutch which controls the speed of the blade.
A brushcutter is a power tool that is used to cut through dense brush, grasses and weeds. Brushcutters typically have a single blade, but some models have more than one blade that points in different directions. The blades are mounted to a heavy metal frame and propelled by a gas engine.
Some of our tools come with whipper snipper or line cutter (as they are otherwise known) attachements, so there is no need to buy extra equipment.
