    BBT 54cc Chainsaw

Arrived quickly, instructions did not mention the bumper spike, so I assembled the unit and had to pull apart when I saw the spike in the bag. Had a great deal of trouble starting it the first time, upon taking off the air filter cover I discovered the spark plug lead was not seated onto the Champion (not NGK as adv) plug. So this, plus the cheap feel of the flimsy plastic choke and power switch, had me thinking this was a cheap and nasty unit. I have since filled a trailer with firewood, using 2x tanks of fuel and oil - it rips through 8-10 inch trunks like butter thanx to its power and new Oregon bar and chain. Hopeful it lasts a few years but at $270 it seems great value at the moment.

    Great saw for price

Have owned this saw for about 4- 5 years now and it has been used on ironbark redgum etc and has never skipped a beat. Tears through it with no issues. Does leak a little bar oil when sitting but just empty it when not in use and no issues

    Happy thus far

Received my saw 2 weeks ago and quite impressed so far. Uses alot more fuel and bar oil than my other saws but performance wise no complaints and cut through decent sized logs like butter. Did take a while to start first time and required a fairly major adjustment to get the idle right but once this was sorted it was fine and i have used it fairly hard several times since and hasn't missed a beat. Overall - Good product well made and feels strong and runs well and for $250 you cant go wrong.
