    24SP-B8 50P Mower

The new mower arrived yesterday. I assembled and started it today. It literally started first crank. It's very easy to operate and quite a gutsy little machine. I have a couple of acres farmlet with paddocks and to be honest, the only difference between what this will mow and my neighbour's TORO zero turn ride on is blade diameter. So far it's great! I read some other reviews and people complained that it stalled in thick grass. In my experience so did my old Cox 20 Hp ride on, if I didn't back off. Besides, the owner manual for this machine quite clearly states under PREPARATION point 6. "Never operate mower in wet grass." Besides being slippery, wet grass places more load on the engine and clogs up the grass chute and blade shroud (Deck Weldment Item 26). I recommend this mower for sure. Definitely value for money :-)

We were pleasantly surprised by the performance. Seems to work well and climbs our fairly steep hill pretty easily. Would prefer the control levers were positioned under the handle for ease of grip. My husband likes it a lot so far and I wish it was a little lower so I could have a go because it looks pretty easy to maneuver. Assembly was minimal and I was very happy with the delivery process. It hasn't been used on really long or thick grass as yet as it's summer. Will be interesting to see how it goes once the grass starts to grow.

After nearly three years she is still running perfectly

After neatly three years from my purchase and the slasher is still running very well. A small issue with the fly wheel underneath, where I had to get it welded back on, however since then it hasn't missed a beat and the engine always starts on the first or second full. The machine has managed steep slopes and very rugged and bumpy ground and it has handled it perfectly. I am still on the original blade too. It doesn't like grass too thick and long though because it clogs up the chute and eventually stalls the engine. Not very effective on wet grass though, due to the drive being friction on the back wheels. Highly recommended.

    good slasher

good mower. light and easy to use. struggled a bit on lush green grass but otherwise did the job well. hard to start when hot but my old one was the same. frustrating that it stops when you have to move twigs etc in front of the mower. all in all not a bad little unit
