BBT 12/20T Petrol 4 Stroke Log Splitter

Finally they have been developed, the compact 12/20T Petrol Log Splitter with the capability to split both hardwoods and softwoods. including iron bark.

BBT has been an industry leader in both electric and petrol powered log splitters over the years, and the 12/20 log splitter has not disappointed this time either, equipped with a Genuine 6.5HP JD 4 stroke motor (fully compliant with new environmental laws) coupled with the  alloy gear pump, you will have all the power you need to split iron bark and any other hardwood you choose to throw at it.

    12 tonne splitter

OK so this thing is a beast, whatever reservations you may have, throw them away. This splitter works on almost anything, yes sometimes you have to take the sides first, but rarely, 9 out of 10 times its split 1st strike. The only reason it lost a star in review is the actual assembly instructions are poor at best, you find yourself 2nd guessing what's what. In that example apply logic, or better still don't reference assembly instructions unless needed. Pretty simple. We've split some big rounds, 600+ and the splitter never even dropped rpm, it runs super, quiet barely above idle, it's towable, fuel lasts forever, it's made strong, materials are thick nothing flimsy about it. I'm stuck between the working height being a bit low or is it ideal for lifting and placing logs onto. I think if it were taller then again it would be even better.

    12 ton log splitter

Exceeded my expectations. Went together easily , no problems at all. Handled every thing we threw at it. Big 500-600 mm dry gnarly red eucalypt made it stumble but a few bites off the sides sorted that out. Great value.

    12T log splitter

Had to wait a while for this as a popular and quickly sold model. Worth the wait. Took a while to assemble, but nothing complicated. Engine fired immediately and we were busting big ugly rounds of black wattle in minutes. Put a big pile of firewood together without raising a sweat. So far, so good!

12t petrol / hydraulic log splitter

Super Fast, TOP delivery time. As for the splitter, easy assembly, I have already spotted some basic modifications I can make. otherwise happy with the unit as a whole.

    Great Little Workhorse

Great machine, handles Tassie hardwood with ease. Easy to assemble and use. Manual leaves a bit to be desired however as the part designated as "Seal Washer 40x180-J" is in fact an oil filter and another part designated as "Oil Plug Bolt" is in fact an oil level gauge!!! But what the heck, it's got them which is ideal.

Great machine that gets the job done.

I had recently purchased a 5 tone electric log splitter from Bunnings . It was a joke. The BBT12T has a lot of grunt. It has not failed to cut any logs I have given it. I think more work could be put into the assembly instructions as some of the drawings are a bit challenging to understand. I think they could have some more zoomed photos, especially when you have to attach the hydraulic lines. It took about 1.5 his to assemble and started first pull. Very impressed with this machine.
